So, I was so proud of my last major update and that I was all caught up, and then summer happened! I am SO behind now!
Our summer fun began early, at the very beginning of June, and we’re still going strong! Jesse’s sister Liz and her husband Charlie and their 3 kids got here June 2. We immediately started doing as much as possible with everyone that was here: Charlie and Liz + 3 kids, Ben and Cammie + 3 kids, Us + 1 kid, Grandma and Grandpa, Marcus and Miriam + 2 kids. We took the kids to Monkey Joes, to the St. Louis Zoo, fishing, got 3 babysitters and had a grown-up game night, and rented a pontoon boat and spent a day on Mark Twain Lake. And that’s all before Jed (the youngest Broadbent) and Becky and their 2 kids got here! Once they arrived we had a Carnival themed birthday party for 2 of the cousins (Libby and Trey) who both turned 3, went on float trip, the guys fished A LOT, the girls crafted A LOT, and all the grown-ups went to dinner and a Cardinal’s game. We even put all the kids in a morning day camp some girls from our ward put on for a week! Sadly, Charlie had to leave us first, and then Jed and Becky, and finally Miriam (Marcus came and went when he could). Liz and her kids are staying for a few more weeks, so who knows what fun will come! It is so fun spending time with family…especially a family as awesome as the Broadbent's!
Since we have taken soooo many pictures, keep your eyes open for more detailed updates of everything we’ve done over the next few days! It could take hours to do it all at once!
