Oh Happy Day!

What a week it has been!  Tuesday morning I went to my scheduled doctor’s appointment and was told that I was 5 cm dilated and would most likely need to have the baby that day.  I seriously thought my doctor was joking!  I had been walking around for 3 weeks 3 cm dilated and wondering what the heck he was talking about when he kept telling me I would have this kid “any day now!”  So when he told me to go home and get my stuff ready and head on over the hospital, I had to make sure he wasn’t giving me a hard time!  He did say that if my water were to break at any time, being 5 cm dilated, my kid would just fall out! 

Needless to say, I was super excited and rushed home to get my stuff and ditch Steve with Cammie.  Jesse met me at the hospital where we then waited for a couple of hours for my doctor to come tell us what was going on.  It was so weird being in labor and delivery, with Jesse, but not in labor!  We were so bored! 

At 1:30 my doc came and broke my water, and after 4 or 5 contractions and a good push, Daniel Scott was born at 2:03.  I know…30 minutes!  I am so grateful my doctor knows what’s going on and didn’t let me walk around waiting for my water to break and Dan to fall out!

So, now we are home, healthy and happy!  I feel great, Dan is a great baby, and my mom is here making my yummy food and playing with Steve!  My life is finally back…I am back!!  I am SO glad I am not pregnant any more!  Here’s a few pictures from the big day…
