Tax Season Get-Away

The kids and I took a little week long trip out to Seattle to see my family.  It was mostly just us girls (my sisters and mom and I, and the kids).  We saw my dad briefly and my sister-in-law, Dani, came in for the weekend for some serious sister time!  It was fun to see my family and for the cousins to play…here’s what we did:

To use up some energy, we took the kids to the church to play in the gym.  The scooter was a hit!

I took kids around on the scooter, and then Steve got the hang of it on his own…he totally rocked the scootering!

Dan loved sweet little Rose…and she was such a good sport!

Aunt Mel Mel is the best!

Aunt Shaina made these for the boys…too fun!

SISTERS!  We love having a new sister in the family!  Of course this picture makes it look like 2 families!

Grandma got to read LOTS of stories.  They boys all loved story time!

We attempted a park visit…it was freeeeeezing!  But grandma brought some fun toys to try out.

This race track was a huge hit!  The kids loved it!  Thanks grandma!

We crammed all the kids in nice and toasty anywhere we went!

My mom found us the coolest indoor pool to go to one day…
IMG_3499
It was all shallow water with fountains and toys.  The kids loved it and swam like little fishies for 2 hours straight!

All the swimming resulted in cold little kiddos with prune fingers and blue lips!

Grandma kept a gate up blocking the way to her room and office with all the books, so the boys would send Grandma up to get a book and then stand downstairs calling up to her. (her office has a balcony overlooking the entry way here).

We took another trip to the church gym when grandma got these fun bum scooters!

Some things we did that were not pictured: At BJs pizza (our fave!!), went shopping, went to Ikea, went to Cheesecake Factory.

We had a lot of fun and can’t wait to see everyone again this summer!
