Happy Birthday to ME!! I turned 23 on Saturday! Being the lucky gal that I am, marrying such a WONDERFUL man, I didn't just get my birthday, I got a whole birthday week!!! Starting last Sunday, I woke up to an envelope with a typed letter explaining what would happen on day one of my birthday week. On Monday, I got another one, and then so on the whole week. Each letter contained the "Birthday Rules" where I was told not to change a diaper when Jesse was home, put Steve to bed, or do the dishes! Was it ever nice to have a break from diapers and dishes! As if that wasn't enough, through out the week I received a foot massage, a full body massage, painted toenails, breakfast AND dinner, a birthday party, and a list of things Jesse would do for me. This list included things like, paint the kitchen, get a hair cut by someone other than me (yay!!), and you get the picture! I have to say it was the BEST birthday EVER!! Thanks to my sweet sweet hubby! I love you!
Jesse cooked me chicken roll-ups for dinner...yum yum! They tasted even better since I didn't have to make them! (Jesse thought they weren't as good since he had to make them!!)
The paint job...that I LOVE!!! We (mostly Jesse) painted the kitchen and this wall with the mirror. Part of the birthday gift was that I got to pick the colors with no complaints from Jesse! We both love the result!
I wanted my favorite cake on my actual birthday, so volunteered to make it myself-flourless chocolate cake with rasberry topping. Since there were a bunch of kids at my birthday get together, I also made a yellow cake with chocolate frosting and cupcakes. Yum Yum! Jesse took over the rest of dinner, grilling hamburgers and hot dogs! good work hun!
Ali wanted to help blow out the candles! Make a wish!
The boys were the first to grab the candles and lick off the frosting! Yumm!
After dinner and cake, the kids and dads escaped outside...Steve had the funniest look on his face!

Thanks to everyone who came to help celebrate my day! It was so fun! Can't wait til the next birthday!

Happy Birthday! (belated) I can't believe you are already 23. It seems like just acouple of days ago that we were in our tweens, dancing and singing to the carpenters in your basement on my brother's birthday. I know, random memory. Anyhoo, glad you had an awesome week!

Happy Birthday Emily!! You are so fabulous! I am so glad you got totally spoiled... just what you deserve. Jess is such a great hubby! BTW, I LOVE the paint job and the color scheme that you chose for your house. It looks way pretty!
PS... (I am such a chubster) Flour-less chocolate cake?! That sounds really good. I think I may need the recipe for that one.... share the love. I am a choco-holic it's ridiculous! hee hee
