Latest Project

So...I have been in major project mode lately. It all started when Cammie and I had to work on some stuff for Young Women's, and I started going crazy! This month's theme in YW is heritage, so one of the activities we will be doing is a family tree magnet board. It was up to Cammie and me to figure out how to make this project, and to do it on a very low budget for 20 girls. Well, mission accomplished! The girls will get an 8x10 magnet board with the tree decoupaged on it and then make the magnets as the activity. Then it is up to them if they want to frame it. I personally think they are so cute. Cammie and I made ours 10x13 and framed them. I LOVE the result, and hope our girls will be as excited! Anyway, here's what mine looks like...

Now, you might be wondering what else I've been up to? Well, once we started the wheels turning for this YW project, we had another YW activity that needed some help...a wedding book for the girls to put together planning everything they want in their temple wedding. We ended up spiral binding them and they turned out so cute! The girls LOVED them, and during the activity where they were filling out and cutting and pasting from magazines, all the girls tried on my wedding dress! It was so fun! We have such fun young women!

It did not end there. Actually, that Wednesday morning, I woke up and decided I wanted to paint our bedroom. So, I did! I painted it a dark brown...and I LOVE it! I also (that same day, yes I'm totally tooting my own horn!!) I made and upholstered two cornice board/valences (whatever they're called) for the windows in our bedroom. They turned out super cute too! I promise to post pictures when the bedroom is totally put together, I still have a few more finishing touches.

THEN...yup that's right, there's more...Cammie and I finally got back to working on her headboard for her bed. We used left over pieces of my hard wood floors and pieced together an amazing headboard! When it's completely finished, I'll post pictures as well.

Anyway, so I'm actually not burnt out on projects yet...so I wonder what I'll dream up next!

Come do some of these projects at MY house! Pretty please! I have a hard time motivating myself to start, let alone finish, projects.
