This summer we decided to try a new Broadbent family adventure. We took a little trip to Mark Twain lake, rented a pontoon boat, and spent the day on the lake. I have to say, I think this was a favorite this summer! Who knew such a beautiful lake was only 2 hours from us! We left Washington early in the morning and drove through a thunderstorm to the middle of nowhere to find the lake. Thankfully, the storms passed and we had a gorgeous day to spend on the boat and on the beach. We had coolers and bags full of food and snacks to keep everyone fully and happy, and have a wonderful day together!
COUSINS! Libby, Briggs, Drex, Jer, Steve, Quin, and Ali…so cute!
Steve liked to tasted the water…who knows?!
Once the rocks were discovered, Steve was entertained! Watch out Ali!!
There was quite a bit of fishing that went on during the day, and Steve needed a break! But not daddy!
FINALLY…a 20 minute nap!
When we found the beach, the kids had a blast swimming around and playing in the sand…even Steve finally warmed up to the water!
He liked the sand more though, and so did Libby!
Jumping in the water was fun, but very tiring for mommy!
The fam…in the wind.
When we were finally all tired out, we headed back to the docks with Steve on top of the boat. He actually loved it and was smiling the whole time, it just doesn’t look that way because of the sun in his eyes!
