There is something to be said about the power of hormones, especially when you’re pregnant. It seems like this entire pregnancy I had ZERO motivation to do anything that needed to be done before this baby comes. Stupid hormones! Well then I enter into the 3rd trimester and, thank you hormones, I go crazy! All of the sudden I have to completely take apart my office--boxing things up, moving things out, leaving only my computer—so that we have a place for our little one. As if that wasn’t enough, I up and decided it was time for Steve to be out of his crib and on to a “big boy bed.” HORMONES MAKE ME CRAZY! Really, he’s not even 2 and I want to tackle such a thing?! I thought I had made the decision to keep Steve in his crib until well after the baby comes, and just put the baby in a pack-n-play or something. And sweet Jesse, fully aware of how crazy I am, just says he’ll support me in any of my crazy decisions! So, where does this leave us? Steve’s crib and changing table have been moved into what was the office, and Steve got a new bed! I found the bed on Craig's List the day I tore apart my office (last Friday), and had Jesse get it the next day (Saturday)! And by Sunday, Steve was sleeping in his very own “big boy bed!” And there is very empty crib in the next room, that will not have a baby in it for several weeks! Now that we’ve established that I am totally crazy as a prego lady, you may be wondering how the transition to being a big boy has gone? Well, much to our surprise, it’s going very well! Steve hasn’t tried to escape and he hasn’t fallen out, and he’s slept through the night every night. When he wakes up in the morning he still calls out for me to come get him, and when I go in to his room he’s just sitting on his bed waiting. So, I’m still waiting for the day he realizes that he can get out…then I may be singing a different song. But, so far…everything is great! He even went to bed last night without crying! And he absolutely LOVES his bed! So here’s a couple pictures to capture the moment! I really want to get one of him actually sleeping in it, but every time I try to sneak into his room at night, he wakes up!
Getting ready for bed the first night…notice the abnormal amount of stuffed animals he must have surrounding him in slumber?!
Such a cute big boy! I can’t believe he’s so big!
And the “Big Boy Bed” in all it’s glory.
Moral of my story: Pregnancy basically makes me crazy, but sometimes it works out ok in the end! But we’ll see what next week brings!

Big step Em!!!! Your not crazy just pregnant!!!! I miss you!! Isn't it weird how instant they seem like such a big boy when they get into a "big boy bed"?? Call me when you have a sec and are not tearing apart your house!!! Love you!!
That is hilarious. And I think typical, atleast it was for me too. That is awesome that Steve is doing so well in his big bed. I love moving on to that stage. Love you guys...so glad you are feeling better.
