Trying to Catch Up

It seems like my posts lately are all about catching up…why can’t I get ahead?!  Here’s what we’ve been doing since my last update…

Birthday Parties

My friend Karyn’s kids both have birthdays in the summer, so they had a combo bday party for them at their farm.  It was super fun…and PERFECT weather!  There was a pony ride, a train ride, a bounce house, cake, ice cream, presents…FUN!  Families were invited, but Jesse couldn’t come, so I took the boys for a great afternoon.  Unfortunately, Jesse is the one who can get Steve to do anything, not me.  Steve wouldn’t try anything!  All this fun kid stuff and he was totally content sitting at the “kid table” drinking his kool-aid! This was the only horse Steve would ride!  (How do you like his hat?!  It’s Jesse’s!)

The next birthday party was for Uncle Charlie and Aunt Liz.  They both have birthdays in September so we combined the family celebration but still had two cakes…well sour cream apple pie for Liz and cheesecake for Charlie.

Happy Birthday guys!  We love you! All the kids ate outside!  They’re all so cute!

Haircuts

I gave Dan his first buzz cut!  It was actually supposed to be just a trim, but it ended up being a buzz!  He’s so cute!  And now I think he looks even more like Steve!  They are definitely brothers that’s for sure!

  
Preschool

A very large group of us in my ward have kids about the same age (give or take a year).  So, we all got together and decided to do a joy school of sorts for these kiddos.  Once a week we rotate to a different mom’s house and the kids get to have 2 hours of preschool.  Us moms team teach so we won’t be over run by the 13 kids we’re teaching!  Cammie and I are partners and have our first day tomorrow!  So far, Steve’s gone twice and loved it!  Hopefully it lasts!

Steve told me he wanted a picture here and sat right down with his back pack and posed all by himself…
I wanted a picture by the front door!  My little guy is just too dang cute!
