Fun at the Lake

While the whole crew was here, we took a little trip to Lake of the Ozarks and stayed 2 nights at a condo on the lake.  We had fun playing on 2 boats, trying to teach kids how to wake board, skiing, swimming, jet skiing, hanging out as a family, eating, and shopping.  It was fun to all be in one place (well 2 condos) rather than spread out over 5 houses!  It was lots of fun, and something we definitely want to do again!

Porter was awesome…Dan attached to him and loved his cousin Porter.  It probably had nothing to do with the fact that Porter basically lived in our basement while they were here and was my live in babysitter!

The water was super warm, which is a big change from what I’m used to whenever we do lake vacations with my fam!  It was kind of nice!

After an entire day of taking kids on the tube and trying to teach them how to wake board, there was no time left for the “big kids”.  So we got up EARLY (like 5am early!) the day we were leaving and tried to wake board and ski.  It was so early we beat the sun!  This was Cammie trying out the wake board, which no one could figure out!  Except Charlie!

I did a little slalom and then face planted bad!  It doesn’t look like it in this pic, but the boat made a huge wake and it wiped me out! 

After no success at wake boarding, Cammie tried some skiing.  She was so close to getting it, but we ran out of time!

Liz got up for a bit though!

And Charlie showed off his skills wake boarding.  Jesse hurt his back before we came to the lake, so he had to sit out from the behind the boat activities…no fun!

It’s about a 2 hour drive to the lake from our house, on the way home both boys crashed.  This is how Dan fell asleep!
