4th of July, Broadbent Style

What a day we had celebrating the 4th of July! Holidays are always better with family, especially the whole family! The weather was absolutely fabulous! It never really got hot, if you can believe that! It was quite enjoyable! We had a BBQ at our house, played games, and then the men turned into pyros and started blowing fireworks up and accidentally burning children! Good times, good memories! Happy 4th of July!

I totally kicked but in the washer game...until I let Porter have a rematch! I'll get you Porter!

Jesse's brand new grill, and all the men trying to figure it out!

I figured it was the safest to make all the kids eat outside, so they got to have a picnic! They loved it! And best of all, I didn't have to sweep up all the crushed cheetos!

These poor kids, by the end of the reunion, I'm sure they never wanted to smile for a picture again! Not that Ren would anyway! ha ha Here's all 17 cousins. It would have been 19, but we were missing Trey and Brooklyn (Brooklyn was barely born!)

The goofy face picture! I think they were pretty much over the picture!

Grandma and Grandpa's back yard is way more fun for kids. They have a swingset and a trampoline. So when we were at our house, we had to get creative. So what better way to entertain kids than a little friendly competition! Charlie started them racing up the hill...it was quite hilarious! But they had fun!

While the kids played outside, some of the grown ups played inside! Basically these particular grown ups were too cool to play the kid games outside!

Another race about to begin! On your mark, get set, GO GO GO!!

Action shot!

We finally managed to get EVERYONE, including all grow ups, outside to play buddy tag. I have never laughed so much playing tag! It was a blast! Except when mom hurt her foot. This is me trying to tag someone I think!

I think Jed is trying to tag Ellie. I tell you what, we have some fast kids in the Broadbent family!

The pyro maniacs in all their firework glory! I had to sit this one out and stay home with a sleeping baby. Oh yeah, the amateur fireworks were done in an empty parking lot.

You have to admit, they looked pretty good!

The kids loved it too!
