A Day at the Arch

The Saturday before Mel left we just had to take a trip to the St. Louis Arch. I've been to the Arch several times, but never actually gone up inside it. So our plan was to meet Jeff and Shaina do the whole shebang. However, it was the busiest I have EVER seen the Arch and we just didn't have enough time to wait around to go up. We did, though, wait almost 45 minutes to just get inside the museum (which is under the Arch and where you buy tickets to go up) and then when we finally made it inside, the line to buy tickets was insane! So we gave up, took some fun pictures, and went to find a place to eat lunch. This was another adventure in and of itself! None of us knew our way around downtown very well, and I thought I knew of a place that turned out not to be a place, but a whole neighborhood. So, an hour and a half after leaving the Arch we gave up and ate Taco Bell, blah. We did find Ted Drewes ice cream which is famous in St. Louis for having the best ice cream. So our day was much better after that! It was quite the adventure.
