A Fair to Remember

Washington, MO lives for it's fair. The spare no expense, and people come for ALL over to experience it. It's 5 days of craziness, and some of the most interesting people you'll ever see! I must admit, we were amongst the loyal fair goers...and it was fun. If you can believe it, we had AMAZING weather, hardly hot at all. For August in MO, this is simply a miracle! Friday morning, I took Steve with my friend Angeline and her 2 kiddos to experience this lovely event. We had a blast! I took Steve and Emma on the merry-go-around (as Emma calls it) and Steve wasn't too impressed. I don't think he really liked it. Then we watched Emma go on all of the kiddie rides, she had so much fun. Then we all headed to "Agriland" where there was face painting, animals, and corn boxes. Yes, you read that right, corn boxes. Actually, there were three different boxes for the kids to play in, one filled entirely of corn, one of wheat, and one of soy beans. Only in MO I tell ya! Emma loved it though. I, of course, would be an idiot to let Steve in the corn box! He did though, get his arm painted with a green tractor! And then he LOVED the animals. He even pet a goat! Once again, Missouri! Anyway, it was a blast! Here's some pictures!

Steve got tired while we were there and eventually fell asleep in the stroller for a little bit, while Emma rode the rides.

But first, we rode on the merry-go-around!

Steve's not quite sure what to think.

Little Tal was awesome and slept pretty much the whole time.

Steve followed eventually!

Then he woke up in time to get his arm painted (it's his left arm, you can barely see it!)

And then there was the goat!

After an exciting morning at the fair, we went home and relaxed until girls night at the fair that night! Country music singers Terri Clark and Tracey Lawrence were performing, so some of us girls decided to make a night of it. It was soooo fun! The weather was almost chilly (so not Missouri!!) which made things even better! We watched Terri Clark, who did an awesome job, then we went and slid down the giant slide! Unfortunately the pictures turned out too dark, but we turned into kids again on that slide! Then Angeline had to go home and Cammie, our friend Heidi and I stayed and watched about 10 minutes of Tracey Lawrence, got bored and spent the rest of the night riding the fair rides! We even ate a funnel cake...I thought of you mom! It was such a fun night, we all vowed to do a girls night once a month! Love ya girls! I had a blast!

Terri Clark, singing away!

This one's for you Angeline!
