Valentine's Day

I love "Halmark Holidays" like Valentine's Day! I think everything about it is fun! Now, Jesse (like most men) might disagree with me, but I think secretly he likes the mushy gushy stuff! So this Valentine's Day we started off the day before by making sugar cookies with some friends. My friend Jessica and I watched Ali and my friend Anna-Lisa's kids at Cammie's house so Cammie and Anna-Lisa could go to school Valentine's parties. So the crazy mom's that Jessica and I are (yup, you're crazy too Jess!) decided to make and decorate sugar cookies with 5 kids under the age of 4! It was so messy, and so fun! Steve didn't really do the cookies, but he did love the sprinkles!

On Valentine's morning, I had to coach my 1st and 2nd grade basketball team bright and early, so Jesse was so sweet to get up and make me a yummy breakfast and leave me these...

After basketball, and while Jesse was at work (I hate tax season!!) I decided to make some more sugar cookies for my hubby. Jesse requested, specifically for v-day, chocolate mousse and this pretzel jell-o dessert. So with those finished, I figured we needed another dessert...so Steve and I made cookies!

Actually, Steve really just wanted to eat the frosting (go figure) and so I did most of the making and decorating!

I had a hot date Valentine's night with my wonderful husband! We doubled with our friends Kasey and Molly and all went to Outback Steakhouse. YUM! We thought for sure we'd have to wait forever to get in, but we were actually seated within 30 minutes, and home by 8:00! We seriously could not think of anything else to do, so we came home, ate some chocolate mousse (also YUM!) and watched a movie. Molly and I both fell asleep on the couch! All in all, we had a great time and a great Valentine's day!
