April Upload: A Princess Birthday and Kansas City Trip

I turned on cartoons for Steve, so here goes some more…

Ali’s Princess Birthday Party

Steve’s cousin Ali, turned 4 in April.  So, Cammie threw her a princess birthday party at our house.  We thought it would be perfect to have it here so that the kids could play outside…but it rained.  Luckily, the new playhouse was a huge hit!  Anyway though, all Ali’s little friends came dressed up and we had a fun little princess birthday.  We even played kiss the frog…which was adorable!  We ate princess cupcakes and opened presents.  A successful fourth birthday for Ali!

Kiss the frog…all the girls loved this, because it involved lipstick…

Steve was the only boy who did it, and he was excited about it!

The kids were blind folded and spun around and then had to try and kiss the frog on the lips with their lipstick lips.  I think Emma got the closest!

Cousins and best friends.  Happy Birthday Ali!  We love you!

A Trip to Kansas City

After Ali’s birthday party in the morning, Cammie and I took a little trip to Kansas City…with the Young Women.  We had so much fun.  Cammie and I, 2 other YW leaders, the Bishop and counselor in the Bishopric, chaperoned our YW to see some church sites in KC.  We stayed in a nice hotel, ate a nice lunch at Cheesecake Factory and saw Liberty Jail and the Independence Visitor center.  Aside from the raging headache-turned-migraine I had, it was so fun!  And the girls had a blast!  I learned a ton!  And the spirit was so strong the whole time.  I love chaperoning things like this!  Oh, and Jesse did great with the kids at home!  His first time doing an overnight with baby Dan.  And a perfect dry run for the next weekend when I would be out of town for 3 nights!

Liberty Jail.  Seriously, awesome!  And we had such a good group.  After the presentation, each class (Beehives, Mia Maids, Laurels) did a mini devotional that was just amazing.  I love our YW!
