MAYbe I’ll catch up one of these days!

I think today is the day I might actually catch up!  May was a bit slower for us, so I have less to mention!  Here it goes…

Potty Training

Somewhere in the beginning of May, I decided it was time to lose my mind and try potty training Steve.  Surprisingly, Steve did awesome and I never had to lose my mind!!  I let him run around naked for a little while (mostly outside!!) for a couple days.  I bribed him with gummy bears every time he actually went in the potty.  And then he figured out if he drank a lot of water he would go potty more and then get more gummy bears, so he spent like an hour filling up a cup out of the fridge water thing and drinking it down and then peeing!  After that it was tackling #2…which took a little longer!  But, to spare the details it all worked out and Steve is no longer scared of pooing in the potty!  And, he now stands up instead of sits on his little potty seat, which saves on the mess!  So we now have a very big boy!  I seriously didn’t think it would be that easy with him!  But I am SO thankful!  And he’s even stopped wearing pull-ups at night!  And I have to add, that it rocks having boys…I don’t have to visit quite as many public restrooms as I’m sure I would with a girl!  A tree does the job! 

Mother’s Day

 
We ate a wonderful Mother’s Day meal at Steven and Kathy’s house with Ben and Cammie + fam.  Ben was in charge, and made a great meal (as always!).  It was definitely nice to not have to cook!  Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there!  I know, it’s way late!  Get over it! ;)

Some Randomness

This is a common occurrence these days!  Steve LOVES playing video games with his cousins or his daddy.  Of course he just thinks he’s playing!
Bath time for baby Dan!  He loves it!
Jer thought it would be funny to let Dan borrow his sunglasses…cool dude!
My happy boy…with 2 teeth!  Cheese!
Steve found his gloves the other day and had to wear them all day, even to the store in 90 degree weather!  Then he fell asleep watching cartoons with his favorite animals…and his gloves!
