Summer Fun

You can count on the Broadbents to have a fun-filled and busy summer, and this summer is no exception!  Here’s what we’ve been up to so far…

Tons of Cousin Time!

Cammie chaperoned Girl’s camp 2 of the days, so I watched the kiddos!  We played on the swing set, played lots of video games, watched some movies, and made marshmallow guns!

Ali got it pretty quick too!  Everyone was super excited that they each got their OWN bag of marshmallows!

A New Laundry Room

While I was babysitting cousins, I decided my laundry room needed a new look.  So I painted it red and Jesse and Ben built me the COOLEST base for my washer and dryer.  I helped Jesse finish it and painted it too.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new laundry room!

I seriously love it!

Summer Camp

Two cute Young Women in our ward put on a week long summer camp for kids for the second summer.  Steve had a BLAST!  And I loved having a short break each day!  Every day was a cute theme and they played games and ate snacks and did all kinds of fun things.  One of these days I’ll get pictures from someone of the week, but for now here’s the last day where we all got to come over and swim!

More Cousins!

We are SO excited to welcome the Blackburn family to Washington!!!  Jesse’s younger sister Liz and her hubby, Charlie, and their 4 kids are officially moved in and here to stay!  With 4 more cousins to play with, we can hardly keep up!  It’s been so much fun that Steve begs to play with each of his cousins every day! Seriously, he goes through every name!

Summer Party

A wonderful, and very brave, family in our ward invited a huge group of families over for a Summer Kick Off party.  They had put together a 60 foot slip-n-slide and had hot dogs and snow cones for everyone!  It was quite the adventure, especially when a storm hit, literally, all of the sudden!

Happy Father’s Day (late as usual!)

Jesse’s parents were out of town over Father’s Day, but we had a full house with the rest of the fam!  Cammie and I grilled stake for our men and ate sour cream apple pie for dessert!  It was way yummy!
